Want an Aptera Now?

Unfortunately, you can not purchase and Aptera vehicle unless you are a California resident. Aptera plans on expanding after thier initial start in California, but where will they go next? Perhaps you can help motivate Aptera to bring their highly efficient vehicles to Minnesota. Contact Aptera to let them know of your interest.

Did high fuel prices bring on the recession?

Here is another electric car blog for your reading pleasure. The link, also features an article, which suggests our current, financial recesssion could have been brought on by "high fuel prices," as opposed to "sub-prime loans." What do you think? One more reason to bring electric cars to Minnesota!?!

Check out this Aptera video to get a presentation on the Aptera,Type-2e. At this point, you must be a California resident to purchase an Aptera vehicle, starting October, 2009. I am wondering where Aptera will expand after thier initial start-up in southern California. Can we influence Aptera to come to the Twin Cities soon?

The Holy Grail?

Some say the "Holy Grail" for the success of the EV industry is an electrical storage unit, or "ultracapacitor," which uses nano-technology. This ultracapacitor is supposed to be extremely efficient, perhaps, replacing our best, battery technology. One stealthy company, EESTOR, located in Cedar Park, Texas, claims to be developing an ultracapacitor made with barium-titanate, which is non-toxic. EESTOR also claims thier ultracapacitor can be charged in under 5 minutes, and allow a small, electric vehicle to travel over 200 miles. Can this be true? Are there companies in Minnesota working on this type of technology? How about 3M?

Elliott the Inventor

Welcome to Aptera for Minnesota. Hybrid and electric vehicles (EV's) will be the primary way we will travel in the very near future. The most promising, hybrid, EV manufacturer is Aptera Motors, based in southern California. Aptera vehicles are engineered "efficiency first," but they are, also, very cool. Why can't Aptera expand to Minnesota next? Let's bring them here, now.
