Check out this Aptera video to get a presentation on the Aptera,Type-2e. At this point, you must be a California resident to purchase an Aptera vehicle, starting October, 2009. I am wondering where Aptera will expand after thier initial start-up in southern California. Can we influence Aptera to come to the Twin Cities soon?
The video pointed out a couple of safety features which are good, but I wonder how much protection it would provide in case of a car accident.
ReplyDeleteYes,I wondered about safety too. Apparently, this vehicle is quite safe. The composite, body materials are actually better for safety than metal. Also, there are many spots within the frame designed to crumple upon impact. In addition, the cockpit, if you will, is designed much like a Formula One race car. Finally, there are, of course, airbags for the driver and the passenger. I have read that safety is a major concern for Aptera.
